Swim lessons
The YMCA is America's swim instructor. For over 100 years the YMCA has been teaching communities' water safety and how to swim. The Oswego YMCA taught over 500 children how to swimlast year. Youth as young as 6 months through Eighteen years are taught basic water safety and swimming skills that will last a lifetime. A child's instruction is based on their skill level and each child will be placed in a group of similar skill. Each lesson is progressive so each child will have attainable goals before moving to the next level. Every child will be accompanied to the water by a trained instructor or adult. We provide a safe and fun environment for infants and toddlers to get adjusted to the water by practicing skills. Each child will progress individually according to their own skills and level of comfort in the water. All swim lessons are pregressive and swimmers will learn all fundamental safety rules for water and how to confidently swim in water. Adults can sign up for adult lessons as well during these times or may sign up for personal lessons during an adult lap time. DAYS/TIMES - T/TH from 5:30 - 6:30pm and every MWF from 11-12:00 nooon and Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6:15 - 7:00 pm or children 6 months of age and up.
