Dolphin Swim Team -The Oswego YMCA Dolphin Swim Team is a competitive swim program for swimmers age 5 to 18. The coaching staff assigns swimmers to a practice schedule based on their ability and age.  Swimmers participate in dual swim meets with other area YMCA teams. The meets are typically held on Saturdays.

LEVELS

Beginner swimmers age 5 and up must be able to swim (25 yards) the length of the YMCA pool and can expect to practice at the YMCA pool on Monday and Wednesday from 7:00 - 8:00 pm at the Oswego YMCA and every Friday at the Oswego High School pool from 6:15 pm to 7:15 pm.  The goal for swimmers at this level is to learn the four strokes  freestyle or crawl, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. (Pool use and availability is subject to OHS Varsity Meets.  Participants will be notified via email)

 

Intermediate/Advanced swimmers practice at the Oswego High School pool from 6:15 -8:00 pm Monday through Friday.  (Pool use and availability is subject to OHS Varsity Meets.  Participants will be notified via email)

The High School pool is reserved for practice from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday thru Friday until November. Sometime in November (to be announced) the practice time will change, and will be from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.  This is subject to change depending on the High School Swim team schedule.

FEES - The fee covers the season from September 27, 2005 thru March 17, 2007. It also provides the swimmer with a one-year YMCA youth membership (excluding swim lessons).
 
The fee per swimmer is $210.00. For swimmers on the High School or Middle School teams the fee is: Girls - $150.00, Boys - $140.00.  There is a 10% discount for YMCA members.  Fee payment may be made by check or cash in full at registration; or one-half of the fee at registration and the balance by the first of November; or by three automatic credit card payments.  Full refunds will be made to new team members who withdraw before the second week.
