Group Exercise Class Descriptions

Fitness Levels -  I = Beginner    II = Intermediate    III = Advanced Exercises
GROUP CYCLING  Exciting indoor cycling class and training program that utilizes innovative sports psychology, guided imagery and visulization to prepare the body for ultimate performance. Instructors:  Cathy Bonoffski, Maria Johnson, Al Levine, Trish Levine, Kim McPherson and Vicky Parker (Please be sure to bring water to all cycle classes)

EASY RIDER - Though of giving cycle a "SPIN".  This class is for you! Instructor:  LuAnn Ketcham
Important:  Please arrive 10 minutes before class for proper bike set up.  Also, there is an extra fee for cycle and the class sizes are limited.  Please register a head of time by contacting the front desk at 343-1981.
AQUA AEROBICS  ( I & II)– More advanced cardiovascular water workout that is easy on the joints. The resistance of the water increases muscle tone and strength.  Instructor: Carol Sue Akers
AQUATIC FIT (I & II)– Intermediate cardiovascular and toning water workout for all fitness levels. Instructors:  Carol Sue Akers & Joanne Davis-Wells
AQUA TIGHT & TONE (II & III)- Deep water workout using an aqua jogger.  Treading water throughout class for a great all around workout and of course to tighten and tone!  Instructor- Carol Sue Ackers
BACK/ARTHRITIS AQUATICS (I & II)- Water exercise class designed by the Arthritis Association. Great for those just starting out and those with back and arthritis challenges.  Instructor:  Carol Sue Akers
AeroKICK- (I, II & III) You asked for it!!  Add an extra “KICK” to your workout with Kick box Aerobics’ to music.    Instructor: Pam Whaley
BELLY DANCING- Traditional belly dance class that works the core muscles of the body. Learn to move to ancient rhythms. Instructor: Vicki Parker
CARDIO-CUTS(II)—Class begins with Aerobics and a strengthening portion finishes up the class. Instructor: Laurie Ohnmacht
CARDIO FUSION- Dance combined with Cardio in this ultra FUN class.  Instructor: Susan Mayer 
CARDIO PLUS- A Step, RAMP or Mix of different types of Aerobic activities for a fun and exciting class.  Floor exercises at the end will complete your workout.  Instructor: Linda LeFevre
DANCE FUSIONHigh energy dance class that combines Ballet, African, Jazz, Funk and FUN!! Instructors: Maureen Peddle, Susan Mayer & Brianne Barr
FRIDAY FLAVOR- Come and see what different class formats have to offer in this combo class.  Step, Ramp, Kickboxing, Aerobics, Y-Cuts, Stability Ball and more.  OFFERED ONCE A SESSION.  
PILATES (I & II)- Core muscle and flexibility training to lengthen and strengthen the “Powerhouse.”  Instructor: Trish Levine
POWER WORKOUT (II & III)- High intensity/low impact class using light hand-held weights.   Instructors: Kim Simmonds & Carol Taormina
RSVP OSTEO EXERCISE - works on strengthening muscles and joints to prevent challenges associated with arthritis and osteoporosis. Call RSVP at 312-2317 to register.
SENIOR LINE DANCING- Come and learn to line dance.  A great way to exercise and HAVE FUN!! Instructor: Marie Lake
 
STABILITY BALL— Strengthening class done on the resist-a-ball.  Great for balance, strength and coordination. Instructor: Maria Johnson
STEP (I, II & III)  Step Aerobics using basic through advanced choreography. Instructors: Maria Johnson and Helen

STRENGTH TRAINING EXPRESS- Weight lifting just like you would do in the Weight room!!  Instructor: Maria Johnson
Y-CUTS(II)- Group Strength Training to Music.  All over Toning and Strengthening, an excellent workout!  Instructors: Peggy Sherman & Beth Busch
YOUNG AT HEART (I & II)– Training for older adults and beginners. This class offers light aerobics, toning and flexibility training. Instructor: Laurie Ohnmacht

  • (*) Denotes program has an additional fee.
  • Please note:  Street shoes are not allowed on our wooden suspended floor in the aerobic room.  Please bring an extra pair of sneakers for class.
  • Wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing and a good pair of supportive aerobic shoes or cross-trainers.
  • Bringa a water bottle
  • Children in 7th - 9th grade are allowed only with a parent.  Some classes may be too difficult for their age and ability.  Please consult with the instructor prior to bringing your child to class.
  • Classes may be cancelled due to lack of enrollment and instructor availability.
