YMCA CENTURY MARATHON TRAINING

Make Running part of Your Lifestyle

You must be able to complete a ten mile run to join in the long runs.  The plan starts with a 10 mile run and progresses from there.  Runs will start at the Fulton YMCA - 715 West Broadway, at 7:00 AM sharp!  For more information call the Fulton YMCA at 598-9622.

 

Learn how to run a full or half marathon

  • Learn how to run a faster full or half marathon
  • Run with participants at your fitness level (be encouraged!)
  • Train in a positive atmosphere
  • HAVE FUN!

Saturday training run dates are as follows:

  • July 5th...................10 miles
  • July 12th.................11 miles
  • July 19th.................12 miles
  • July 26th................10 miles
  • August 2nd.............16 miles
  • August 9th..............18 miles
  • August 16th............16 miles
  • August 23rd...........14 miles
  • August 30th...........20 miles
  • September 6th......12 miles
  • September 13th....16 miles
  • September 20th....20 miles
  • September 27th....16 miles
  • October 4th............10 miles
  • October 12th MARATHON DAY!!!

Runners are encouraged to bring, bottles, fuel belts or other hydration systems to utilize between stops. 

Runners do not have to run the entire run each week and can add or subtract distance to meet individual programs
